What I do

Full-stack web apps

I design, build and run web products end to end: TypeScript, React and Next.js, Node, PostgreSQL and Supabase, Stripe billing, and the automated tests and CI that keep them shipping. KnowTarot and Scryway are two I built on my own.

Mobile + .NET

Starting in January 2023 I was one of the main developers on a remote team building novoFlight Aviator, an app for pilots on the App Store, in C#/.NET MAUI and XAML with Cosmos DB.

Business systems

I build the software behind a business: carrier and e-commerce API integrations, background jobs, internal tools and operations platforms, deployed and monitored on servers I run. Plus technical SEO (crawl and indexing controls, sitemaps, structured data, performance) and WordPress and WooCommerce sites like stoveinfo.com.

Who I am

Developer based out of Columbia Falls, MT

Hello! I'm Aaron Hawkins, a software developer currently living in Columbia Falls, Montana.

Technology and programming are a big part of my life. I started playing with HTML and CSS when I was about nine years old, and always knew I'd work with computers and technology. I enjoy both the design and planning stages and the nitty gritty coding and development aspect of software and web development.

Before software I was Site Manager at Glacier Ziplines from May 2015 to October 2022, running daily operations and customer service, leading a team of 12 guides, and handling the website, digital advertising and social media. I hold an A.A.S in Web Technology from Flathead Valley Community College in Kalispell, MT, where I graduated with a 3.85 GPA in 2020.

When I'm not coding, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and our cats. I am also an active individual, with a daily routine of yoga, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai. The outdoors here are beautiful, and in my free time I often go hiking or fishing, making the most of the natural wonders right at my doorstep.
